We are happy to report we
feel joy and enthusiasm. A new energy of hope and joy to make things better
is sensed at the Municipal Presidency.
The energy that the possibility of change and a better quality of life
bring. Wonderful things are coming to Malinalco, as many of us are joined
in the concept of making everything possible to make Malinalco a better
place. We congratulate Malinalco for all the efforts we all do, small
and large, to make our town a better place to live, visit and share!
The Day of the Dead
The Mexican tradition of the day of the dead does not escape this small
corner of the world. Flowers invade the central Plaza usually two or three
days before the 2nd of November. Breads, candles, sweets, fruits and colorful
tissue papers cut into traditional images (like the one of the Catrina
by José Guadalupe Quesada) invade town for the traditional "Altares".
If you are near Malinalco the first weekend of November it is a nice weekend
to visit. The cemetary will be visited by all the families of Malinalco
on Sunday November the 2nd, with flowers, food, drinks and it will be
colorfully dressed. It is a beautiful tradition worth seeing and sharing
with others. If you should decide to join us in these festivities you
will not regret it. We only ask that you are respectful of our traditions
and will be welcome to joins us.
